Sem Mal Azal White Wine

Sem Mal Azal

The Sem Mal is a “historic” wine from the Vinho Verde region made with Azal grapes. It is a white wine that undergoes malolactic fermentation in the bottle. The result is a fresh, light, and refreshing wine with fine bubbles and an expressive, vibrant citrus aroma.

Early harvest, always the 1st harvest of the season. Arinto and Azal grapes manually picked in excellent sanitary condition, into small boxes (17 kg), that are directly and very softly pressing of the entire bunch. The wine ages in small stainless steel vats for 3 months, then is bottled without any sulphites added, which allows the malolatic fermentation to starts spontaneously in the bottle. The wine is normally released after aging 1 year in the bottle.

Sem Mal White will be pairing perfectly with naturally salty items, such as seafood, shell fish, cheese and tempura. Some lemon/citrus dessert are also welcome.
